Participation in ESA conference

On November 25-26, 2024, our colleagues Karol and Piotr participated in the European Space Agency (ESA) conference entitled “Towards a Space-Powered Economy,” which took place in Harwell, Oxfordshire, UK. The event focused on the role of space and satellite technology in solving key challenges of the modern world – from climate change and urbanization to energy transition and environmental protection.

ASPEN system presentation

In preparation for the presentation, Karol and Piotr conducted detailed measurements of selected sections of roadway and bike paths in Oxford. They used smartphones mounted both in the car and on a bicycle and electric scooter to collect data. During the second day of the conference, they had the opportunity to present the results of their research to the assembled attendees, who inquired with great interest about the operation of the ASPEN system and its potential application in road infrastructure.
